Treatment Resistant Depression (TRD) is a serious mental health problem that can be challening to manage for clinicians. This session will review new and older treatment options for TRD and explore the potential advantages and disadvantages of different therapies.

We might discuss some cases from attendees.

Objectives

As a result of attending this session, participants will be able to:

  • Define and recognize TRD
  • Understand advantages and disadvantages of therapies that have proven beneficial in TRD
  • Understand the role of esketamine, second generation antipsychotics, lithium and other options
