Objectives

As a result of attending this session, participants will be able to:

• Define in situ and invasive breast cancer and the key differences in their management
• Describe the emerging role of biologic subtype and histologic grade in the AJCC 8th Edition Breast Cancer Staging System (2018)
• Understand the expected sequencing of treatments and which patients are likely to require systemic therapy (chemotherapy, endocrine therapy)
