Jean-Francois Yale, MD, CSPQ, FRCPC.  Dr. Yale is an endocrinologist, currently Professor of endocrinology in the Department of Medicine. Dr Yale chaired the Clinical and Scientific Section of the CDA from 1992-1994. He chaired the Expert Committee that published the 2001 Canadian Diabetes Association Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Prevention and Management of Hypoglycemia in Diabetes. He was a member of the Steering Committee for the 1998, 2003, 2008, 2013 and 2018 CDA Clinical Practice Guidelines. His research interests (180 publications) include the prevention of hypoglycemia in type 1 diabetes, intensive management of type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and he participates in numerous multicentre trials on new therapies for type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
