Medical cannabis is now widely avalable to Canadian patients for management of various medical conditions. This lecture will cover up to date information regarding the evidence for effect and harms associated with medical cannabis use. Use in particular patient populations including the young person, prenancy and the elderly will be discussed. information to guide dosing and administration will be reviewed

Objectives

As a result of attending this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the “cannabis landscape” in Canada
  • Be informed of up-to-date evidence for medical cannabis use
  • Know about the risks and contraindications for medical cannabis use
